Last weekend, the Building Blocks team took part in a two day activity break to celebrate our success over the past year and kick off the 2015/16 financial year with a bang.
We started the weekend with paintballing, which saw two teams pitted against each other in a paint-splattered battle (which we’re all still counting the bruises from), before heading to Ruthin Castle for an afternoon of team presentations and discussion.
Friday evening was a medieval affair complete with jester, mead and a few renditions of Greensleeves.
It was back to Catton Hall on Saturday for clay pigeon shooting and quad biking, where some of the team discovered they had hidden talents…and bad driving skills.
Whilst the vast majority of us spent Sunday recovering from the exertion of the weekend, five members of the team pulled on their running shoes and took part in the Great Manchester Run.
Dan Furze, Billy Hussain, Rob Stevenson-Leggett, Jack Donegan and Helle Jakobsen joined nearly 40,000 other runners on the 10k course through the city – huge well done to them all for taking part.
Many thanks to all at Catton Hall, Ruthin Castle and the BB team for making the 2015 away weekend one to remember.
