Building Blocks (part of Dept) has climbed twenty places in this year's Econsultancy Top 100 Digital Agencies report, the definitive listing of the UK's largest agencies. Free to download for Econsultancy subscribers, the Top 100 report includes analysis and expert commentary on the direction of digital, alongside key insight about each of the listed agencies.
Building Blocks was first featured in the report as ‘ones to watch’ in 2015 based on UK fee income for financial year 2014/15. In 2016, following consistent growth in the UK, the agency strode 9 places to 84th place. This year’s announcement is the agency’s largest leap to date, the agency now rank 64th place, moving 20 places forward in just 12 months.
Building Blocks became part of the Dept network in May 2016, an international community of leading digital agencies, and continues to grow their presence across the globe.
Alongside operations in the United States and Spain, Building Blocks has added The Netherlands and Macedonia to their portfolio with the strategic acquisition of Tricode.
Tricode, who are also now part of Dept, are renowned for the implementation of industry-leading enterprise Content Management System and Digital Experience Platform technologies.
The move further strengthens Building Blocks’ technical capabilities and the acquisition sees employee numbers at Building Blocks reach 130 and increases global revenue by £4m to £13m.
