We've had another great Innovation Day this month and here's what we've been working on:
Tridion Release Helper
Chris Eccles has taken the original Tridion Release Manager Extension and extended it to give the ability to find all items that have been modified and published in a specific date range. It then allows those changes to be exported into a Content Porter package.
This is a really common task, which is repetitive and prone to error, which we find ourselves manually doing after each deployment. This update makes things a heck of a lot easier!
BB MVT Suite
John Askew has been developing his own multivariate testing suite which could allow us to add our own MV testing into the web applications we create and into the WCM systems that don't have MV testing built into them without relying on 3rd party MVT tools.
Digital Publications connector for SDL Tridion
Me and a few of the guys have been working on a digital publications connector for SDL Tridion. We're close to the finish line on it and will hopefully get it completed next Innovation Day but there are some exciting times ahead for this idea.
Rob took his Innovation Day into the weekend and went along to NodeCopter where he spent the day controlling Parrot AR drones using NodeJS. After emailing round his overview from a full day of NodeCopter fun to the technical team I think we will have our very own Parrot AR drone flying around the office very soon!
You can find some of Rob's experiments from NodeCopter in a GitHub repo.
