SDL Innovate 2014: 5 Things To Look Forward To

With SDL Innovate just two weeks away, and on the back of my teaser post, I thought I would pick out some highlights for this year's event:

1. Pre-Conference Workshops

This year, the day before the main conference kicks-off, SDL will be hosting a day of workshops. The workshops, run by product experts, will be a great opportunity to learn more about the SDL product suite. They will provide a deeper dive into the technology, application and business drivers behind the product.

More details on the workshops, split into a "build your own schedule" five discipline education day, can be found on the event website here: http://www.sdl.com/innovate-sanfran/workshops

2. New Technology

New technology is always a focus for an SDL Innovate event, and this year will be no exception. Expect to see exciting demonstrations featuring:

SDL Customer Experience Cloud

SDL Customer Experience Cloud (CXC) acknowledges that a customer exists outside of an organization's website and brand, and that customer experience must evolve to meet the always connected user expectations. SDL CXC creates a complete picture of users, their influences and preferences, and makes it available to create a customized experience.

SDL CXC

SDL CXC calls on data from analytics, campaigns, eCommerce, language preferences, Social Media and web activity to create "hyper-relevant" experiences across all digital touch points.

SDL Web

A new product in the SDL suite, SDL Web falls into the SDL CXC category allowing organizations to deliver relevant experiences to each individual customer, based on their context.

In website personalization, context is everything -- both on the user side and from a content standpoint. Context allows organizations to match a user to relevant content, based on all the available data -- data like time of day, location, device and content viewing history. SDL Web exposes that context, and allows the user experience to be dynamically customized based upon it.

SDL Web is certainly a "top pick" for SDL Innovate 2014.

3. SDL Roadmap

SDL Innovate will provide an insight into SDL's roadmap, across its product suite. This insight allows organizations and technology partners like ourselves to plan ahead, and envisage business optimization opportunities in the coming months and years.

SDL delivers its roadmap across all the technology stacks, so regardless of your vertical, there will be important information shared.

4. Network, Network, Network

SDL Innovate is a melting pot for like minded individuals. It is a great opportunity to meet with a wide variety of people including industry experts, the SDL team and executives, the elite partner network and other like minded organizations forming SDL's extensive customer base.

Compare stories of success and share ideas for the future with industry peers.

SDL Innovate is a great opportunity for Building Blocks to exchange product ideas and customer stories, while looking to build new relationships and partnerships with SDL customers. It is a perfect chance to help organizations plan for the future and put into practice ideas discussed at the event.

If you are interested in discussing our credentials and ideas on a one-to-one basis, please do not hesitate to drop me an email: c.morgan@building-blocks.com

5. Keynote Speakers

SDL Innovate has a history of great speakers, and this year will not disappoint. You can expect to hear from:

Josh Linkner - NY Times Bestselling Author CEO & Managing Partner // Detroit Venture Partners will presenting the opening keynote

Jeofrey Bean & Sean Van Tyne - Author & Co-author of the business leadership book The Customer Experience Revolution will presenting the closing keynote

Ted Rubin - Leading social media strategist and brand evangelist will be discussing #RonR or Return on Relationship

Adam Sarner - VP at Gartner will be discussing Customer Experience Treads in Social & Campaigns

6. Party Time

OK, I know I said five things, but who can ignore the fun side of SDL Innovate?

San Fran Hotel

The "Innovate Bash" is a chance to let your hair down, and enjoy some great food and drinks surrounded by new friends.

Then later in the evening, explore the beauty and nightlife of the great city of San Francisco, a place Building Blocks calls home.

We look forward to seeing you at SDL Innovate 2014 in San Francisco!
