A couple of weeks ago, I spoke at the SDL Web/Tridion UK User Group. The meet up is organised by our old friend Ryan Durkin. It was the first one in a while (3 years!) and it was good to see a strong Building Blocks posse come down for support.
I like to get my talk out the way first so I can enjoy all the others without being nervous! My talk was about running SDL Tridion 2013 SP1 in Docker and the new features that have been added to make this easier in SDL Web 8 and 8.5. Keep an eye out for a follow up companion post on this.
Jonathan Williams from Stage Two (who also provided pizza and beer - thanks!) was up second with a talk about the adventures he experienced scaling Web 8 for a customer. It was great to hear a real world story and the approaches the team took to solve issues they experienced while getting to grips with Topology Manager.
Finally, Bart Koopman gave us a great overview of DXA 2.0 and the roadmap including the community preview releases, the first of which is now out in the wild. I'm yet to try it but it does look very interesting. There was plenty of questions for Bart which was great to see. Read more about the DXA 2.0 architecture on the SDL Community and check out the Community Technical Preview release on Github.
